Leornado da Vinci latest painting revealed

Lumiere Technolgy, the Paris based art certification company, certifies that the flee-market discovered painting is in fact an original Leornardo da Vinci ! This would be the most important art discovery of the last fifty years. Lumiere Technology compared the painting nick-named "Profile" to the Mona Lisa and the Lady with an Ermine and found the type of paint used to be the same. Combined with Carbone 14 dating the Lumiere Technology analysis appears to confirm that this is a true discovery of great magnitude.

Paris Match Magazine innovates with Zoomorama

Today Paris Match publishes on the web a news story using Zoomorama as a publishing platform. Using the Zooming technology they were able to create entirely free layout with high-definition images, videos and text. The whole process, from layout to publishing, was done by the Art Director himself.

"The ZoomCreator freed me from technical consideration. I could simply focus on the creative process. This technology will change the face of publishing on the web. With Zooming we can better tell the story behind the news, and that's what Paris Match loves about this technology." said Michel Maïquez, Paris Match Art Director.

Best Buzzed Video of Youtube 2007

Here are the most buzzed video on  Youtube in 2007, as selected by the Youtube team.

My absolute favorite is the one with the baby buffalo and the Lions called "Battle at Kruger Park". Personally I would have titled it "You Fuck with Me, You Fuck with my Family". It shows even in the worst of situation there is always hope if you have friends. So cheer on for 2008 !

Dan the Gadgetoff Man at LeWeb3

Attended the talk of Dan Dubno today untitled "Why We Need to Blow Things Up!". Dan is know as Dan the Gadget Man. He was the head for technology at CBS News for more than ten years. He pushed the envelope of technology on television until he could no longer stand the corporate guys always second guessing him. It happens to the best of us !

So he left a successful career to start off a fun conference call GadgetOff. It is a fun gathering of technologists and artists taking place in New York. Sort of a quirky TED. I am certain it will become an important venue for innovation and creativity in the years to come. Click Here to read more about Gadgetoff.

Here is a little excerpt of Dan talk, discussing how television dropped the ball about News. It great.

Hyper-Reality

maIt's an open secret that few in Paris know about. It's not a big one, but still it's fun know something that millions of people watch but do not see. You really need your 5Mpixels to reveal a reality that is difficult to perceive with your eyes. We call that Hyper-Reality: what the cameras shows you that you can't see.

Check out the side of the Eiffel tower, in two of the pictures here you will read the names of famous french scientists inscribed in the steel - right below the first floor. Ask your Parisian friends if they knew about this. I didn't know, and none of my friends knew. So what are we going to do with our upcoming 21Mpixels camera (i.e. Canon) ? Enjoy !

Show this to your kids

Here is a collection of beautiful Macro Photographies. A friend of mine told me his 6 and 8 years old children spent the evening having fun Zooming on all the images, especially the bugs ! Try this at home, your kids may enjoy it too, and you may discover how beautiful things are when seen up close.

Don't forget to click on Full Screen at the top right. You may enjoy our new design too (not fully complete yet, but we are getting there...)

Old Family Photos to share

A very touching Zoomomail we received this week, direct from our friend in Canada who shared with us family photos from his childhood in Vietnam.

It is a beautiful album full of gentle emotions that we can all relate to. It also shows us a Vietnam that is long gone. Thank you Hao for sharing this with us.
